TRACKSMITH LAUNCHES COLLECTION WITH TAYLOR STITCH

by Stephen Garner

Tracksmith has launched a new menswear collection with California-based brand Taylor Stitch.

Working in collaboration with Taylor Stitch, Tracksmith created a menswear capsule of essential silhouettes redesigned with adventure in mind, built to withstand the changing spring weather conditions from Boston to The Bay. The Taylor Stitch x Tracksmith capsule collection features six core products including the Taylor Stitch x Tracksmith Merino Tee and Shoreline Henley, which offer Merino wool blend fabrications, combining Merino’s moisture control and odor-resistance properties with Taylor Stitch’s classic silhouettes.

Additional styles such as the Taylor Stitch x Tracksmith Traverse Short and Overshirt are made from a lightweight, four-way stretch woven fabric that is both wind and water repellent, providing plenty of stretch for vigorous movement. Rounding out the capsule, Heavy Bag LS Tee, constructed from a waterless blend of 52 percent upcycled cotton and 48 percent recycled poly, and Bomber made from a Bluesign-certified Swiss shell that is both water-repellent and breathable offer durable and sophisticated designs for everyday wear.

“I’ve long wanted to collaborate with Taylor Stitch because of their design ethos, which places an emphasis on durability and attention to detail,” said Matt Taylor, founder of Tracksmith. “We were excited to work together to take some of their favorite silhouettes and update them for running, using a few of the most technical materials from our library. The end result is a perfect blend of East and West Coast, lifestyle and performance, delivered through Taylor Stitch’s innovative Workshop model.”

“Outdoor adventure has always been part of the Taylor Stitch DNA and there’s never been a more natural vehicle to get us there than our own two legs,” added Michael Maher, co-founder and president of Taylor Stitch. “As many of us are runners ourselves, we’ve been big fans of what the folks over at Tracksmith have been doing for years so it seemed like a perfect time to come together to build something collaboratively. Being from the Northeast originally, we have a soft spot for the Tracksmith sensibility so we thought it would be fun to take that and mix it with a bit of Northern California and use the best fabrics in the world for a super functional, daily adventure kit that goes pretty much anywhere.”

The Taylor Stitch x Tracksmith collection is now available at taylorstitch.com as part of Taylor Stitch’s Workshop –– a crowd-funding platform for new products. Customers will have four weeks to pre-order items from the capsule, which will be widely available in May.
