Texas-based menswear clothing company Trybus Group, which produces such brands as Ibiza, Flynt, and Steve Harvey, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to establish a manufacturing facility in Komblocha Industrial Zone, Ethiopia. Trybus Group USA will occupy an 11,000 square-meter (100,000 square-foot) building in the Industrial Zone.

Trybus Group will make a substantial financial investment to equip the manufacturing facility with state of the art garment technology. “It is our directive to bring our garment manufacturing expertise, training and quality engineers to any new manufacturing initiative. This is the only way to control and consistently deliver our high quality garments,” said Gary Trybus, co-founder and president of Trybus Group. “With our newly built and wholly owned state of the art distribution center in Desoto, Texas, this new manufacturing facility will fortify our dedication to the future of garment manufacturing and distribution. We are committed to provide the highest quality/highest value garment in the market place, with a flexible multifaceted distribution service program.  We will be a full service manufacturer that will provide replenishment as well as a focus on D2C sales and shipping.”

The first phase of operation will create employment for more than 1,000 Ethiopians with a future plan of employing more than 3,000 Ethiopians when fully operational.  “With our MoU with the Ethiopian Investment Commission and the startup of this new facility, we are committed to enhancing the lives of the local community by creating opportunities for the Ethiopians to better themselves,” added Trybus.
