Southern California-based brand Ugg and famed Japanese brand Sacai will launch a global dual-gender collaboration that was first seen on the autumn/winter 2018 runway at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
The limited-edition Ugg x Sacai collection ranges from $325-$350 and will be available for purchase exclusively at Dover Street Market in New York City and Los Angeles on November 3 and at select retailers worldwide, including Dover Street Market, Sacai stores and the Ugg brand microsite on November 17.
The campaign stars style influencer Aleali May and model Cameron Reid and was shot in Los Angeles by photographer Robert Hamada and styled by Stacy Zimmerman. The campaign features the Ugg x Sacai collection styled with looks from the Sacai runway show.
Sacai designer Chitose Abe reimagined the Ugg Classic boot silhouette, adding a striped knit upper to the iconic sheepskin boot. Offered in three colorways and two shaft heights, Abe’s concept was to combine unexpected textures to create a hybrid form.
“It’s not just because Ugg boots are comfortable, but the authenticity of the Classic silhouette is something which I always admired,” said Abe. “I worked with Ugg to explore the notion of classic.”
