VALENTINO GARAVANI TEAMS UP WITH CRAIG GREEN ON SNEAKERS
In celebration of the tenth anniversary of Valentino’s signature Rockstud accessories, the Italian luxury brand is launching a new special project called “Rockstud X.”
First announced last October, Rockstud X serves as an incubator of creative ideas. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli describes the program as “an open laboratory that offers collaborations and co-creations with designers and international brands.”
Today, the first Rockstud X collection is finally revealed in collaboration with British designer Craig Green.
The new Craig Green x Rockstud X Valentino Garavani collection is a limited edition line of men’s sneakers in black, light ivory, army green, and deep grey. Piccioli and Green have given a unique interpretation to the shoe that sees the stud come into a new guise. The line of sneakers embraces a sculptural sole made of large Rockstud formations, where the stud serves as both part of the design aesthetic and functionality.
The co-created sneakers will exclusively launch in Dover Street Market London and Ginza on June 12th, and will then roll out in selected Valentino boutiques worldwide and on valentino.com.
