When you first walk into Notre, the West Loop men’s shop, your first question might be, hey, where’s all the, you know, stuff. This looks like an event space. Or some sort of indoor cobblestone skate park. Isn’t this supposed to be a store? Don’t they sell sneakers? Or clothes? Or something? Relax, old man. You’re in the right place. You’ve simply entered the front of the shop, an area that Notre owners call the stramp — a portmanteau of stair and ramp — a zigzagging path of nearly 4,700 Chicago common brick pavers, which lazily ascending into the space.
