WP LAVORI’S BLUEBLACK COLLECTION TO MAKE U.S. DEBUT

by Stephen Garner

WP Lavori in Corso, based in Bologna, Italy, will launch its BlueBlack Collection at its WP Store Brooklyn (225 Smith Street) on Thursday, October 22 with an in-store private event. The collection will be available to the public for purchase on Friday, October 23.

The store will have all of the 20 limited edition pieces featured in the collection, designed by multiple internationally established brands that have ongoing relationships with the company. To commemorate years of collaboration, each of the chosen brands, which include Barbour, Woolrich, Baracuta, Engineered Garments and Beams Plus, produced key styles from their respective collections with a new focus on the utilization of the colors blue and black. Each product carries a definite tonal reference to create common ground between the respective brands.

WP collaborated with Inventory Magazine to create an exclusive “Thirty Years of Essential Retail” issue. It displays each piece in the collection and tells the story of the designer’s inspiration. The first 50 guests on Friday to purchase a piece from the collection will receive a complimentary copy of the issue.
