YMA FASHION SCHOLARSHIP FUND ANNOUNCES TOP 8 FINALISTS FOR 2019

The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and career placement in the fashion arts and business, has announced its top eight scholarship finalists for 2019. These exceptional students were chosen from nearly 750 applicants who attend one of the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund’s 64-member colleges and universities.

The finalists, together with over 200 scholarship recipients, will be celebrated at the organization’s 82nd Annual Scholarship Awards Gala being held on January 10, 2019 at the New York Hilton Midtown, which will also honor Macy’s President Hal Lawton, Ryan Seacrest and Martha Stewart.

The selected students will receive a total of more than $1 million in scholarships. The top eight finalists, who will each receive scholarships ranging from $15,000 to $35,000, include:

Maxine Britt, University of Minnesota (area of specialization: Design & Product Development)
Rachel Davis, University of Cincinnati (area of specialization: Merchandising & Marketing)
Jennifer Junker, Iowa State University (area of specialization: Merchandising & Marketing)
Jeremy Kalteux, University of Georgia (area of specialization: Design & Product Development)
Viviana Martinez, The University of Texas at Austin (area of specialization: Technology & Analytics)
Isabella Mendez, Savannah College of Art & Design (area of specialization: Design & Product Development)
Sydney Silver, Academy of Art University (area of specialization: Merchandising & Marketing)
Javier Uriegas, The University of Texas at Austin (area of specialization: Supply Chain Management)
