YMA FASHION SCHOLARSHIP FUND DINNER TO HONOR PVH’S KEN WYSE

The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education for the fashion arts and business, has announced this year’s honorees for its annual National Merit Scholarship Awards Dinner, to be held on January 9, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis.

The event will celebrate fashion luminaries Kenneth J. Wyse, president of Licensing & PR at PVH Corp.; Katia Beauchamp, co-founder & CEO of Birchbox and Stephen Sadove, former chairman and CEO of Saks, Inc. Additionally, over $1.4 million in scholarships will be awarded to more than 200 scholars from a variety of top programs at universities and colleges nationwide. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Fashion Scholarship Fund, which is committed to fostering fashion talent of the future through scholarships, internships, mentorships and career programs.

“For 81 years, the Fashion Scholarship Fund has been the leader in identifying the best and brightest new talent for the fashion industry. This will continue in 2018, as we will introduce more than 200 new scholarship winners,” says Douglas Evans, the YMA’s executive director. “It is the leadership from our honorees that allows us to continue the tradition of giving back to the community, and supporting education and career pathway programs.”

Past YMA honorees have included Ralph Lauren, Manny Chirico, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jessica Simpson, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole, Geoffrey Beene, Iris Apfel, Tim Gunn, Alber Elbaz, Isabel and Ruben Toledo, Zac Posen, Mark Weber, Tim Baxter, Ronny Wurtzburger, John Tighe, Judy Person, and Michael Strahan.
