Z Zegna unveiled its fall/winter 2019 collection today at Pitti Uomo in Florence.

Inspired by a futuristic vision of city living, the collection still includes all of the qualities you’d expect from Z Zegna: functional, tailored, and smart performance. The line’s new wardrobe essentials feature modular construction defined by expansive yet sleek shapes.

An ample use of iconic 3-Layers fabric and shiny gabardine fused with internal membranes, iridescent materials and integrated connectivity underscore the stylistic dynamic of the savvy trans-seasonal wardrobe.

From must-have classics including the Icon Warmer jacket with built-in heating element to keep the wearer warm, or the new Power + jacket with ready-to-use power charging, Z Zegna brings wearable technology to center stage this season. Even the choice of fine tailoring woolen twills and architectural black watch tweeds to craft technical garments or the unconventional pairing of deconstructed cargo pants with reflective elements point to future-focused practicality.

The hybridized activewear is further enriched by new TechMerino Wash&Go models, that match functional comfort with dynamic seasonal blocking. Traditional khakis, metallic greys and circuit-board greens tout surprising accents in signal orange, bold teal and optical white, as the lively color palette complements the collection’s multi-texture vibe. Fitted knitwear with sporty thumb-holes is worn under tailored jackets or over crumpled trousers. To complete the look, the new robust yet lightweight Maze sneaker with its high-performing fabrics and perforated, breathable sole deliver futuristic sneaker with an edgy attitude.
