1990s menswear is back in style – and I couldn’t be happier about it

I’ll let you picture the scene: Fife, Scotland, some time in the 1990s, yours truly in a truly astonishing array of the decade’s most questionable outfits. The curtains swept majestically down to the chin, a budget Anna Wintour power bob on a precocious 10-year-old, and the clothing truly of its time: logo-mania tracksuits (I proudly wore my ice-white Tommy Hilfiger to see Spice World: The Movie, how’s that for a vignette?), neons, baggy, stonewashed denim, Kangol tops and voluminous Naf Naf bomber jackets. If it was featured on a now-irrelevant pop star in Smash Hits, the likelihood is I tried to get the look at some point.
