ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CUTS 150 CORPORATE JOBS
Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s struggles are hitting its employees. The mall-based teen fashion retailer let go of 150 workers at its New Albany, Ohio headquarters late last week.
“As part of our ongoing cost reduction initiatives and after careful consideration, the company has eliminated approximately 150 positions at the corporate level to ensure we are structured appropriately for the current retail environment. We appreciate the contributions these associates have made while with Abercrombie & Fitch and we will make certain that they are treated fairly and with respect through this process,” the company said in a statement.
The company has around 2,200 employees at its headquarters and has generated $3.52 billion in revenue in its fiscal 2016.
