ANTIBOY PARTNERS WITH THE PHLUID PROJECT ON T-SHIRT
In conjunction with the upcoming release of Antiboy’s anthem, ‘One Love’, the gender-fluid musician has partnered with celebrated graphic designer Jason Ebeyer and New York-based The Phluid Project, to provide support for LGBTQ+ youth through the creation of a limited-edition ‘One Love’ T-shirt. One hundred percent of the proceeds will directly benefit The Hendrick Martin Institute (HMI), the United States’ largest LGBTQ+ youth services organization.
The anticipated release of Antiboy’s single ‘One Love’ almost a year after the untimely death of Antiboy artist Harry Hains has been a labor of love for many involved. The up-tempo single not only brought back together famed super-producers, Red One and Fernando Garibay – who last collaborated on Lady Gaga’s incredibly successful ‘Born This Way’ album. But it became even more poignant when Garibay added additional vocals by the late Hain’s mother, musician, and actress Jane Badler. Badler, who has been a driving force behind The Antiboy Project collaboration stated, “We are excited to release these limited-edition Tee shirts in partnership with Phluid and HMI organization which helps thousands of LGBTQ youth every year. My son Harry passed away last. As a non-binary, he struggled with labels and conceived Antiboy. The T-shirts will commemorate the release of his Track ‘One Love’ and celebrate the equality of all humans.”
When asked why The Phluid Project chose to lend its support, Rob Smith, founder of The Phluid Project affirmed, “Harry’s vision of the world is completely aligned with Phluid’s vision of the world. We were unified in creating a space to exist between the binaries. And, to create a product that will benefit The Hetrick Martin Institute, an organization that is very dear to me, and encourages youth to live their authentic selves was an honor.”
Additionally, all participants were equally passionate about choosing to donate their efforts to benefit The Hendrick Martin Institute. “HMI saves kids’ lives,” said Ben Dixon, HMI Board Member. “The organization steps in to catch kids in crisis and helps them to not only survive but thrive via its wrap-around services including hot meals and showers, mental health counseling, advocacy, and awareness building. Anitboy and the One Love project are incredible partners to create the awareness and acceptance our kids so desperately need. I wish they were around when I was a kid coming out!”
