BARNEYS NEW YORK OMNI-CHANNEL PROVIDER MI9 RETAIL TO EXPAND OPERATIONS NEXT YEAR
Mi9 Retail, a leading provider of software solutions for the retail industry, continues to expand its U.S. operations headquartered in Miami, Florida. The company began its Miami-based operations in 2014, and expects to employ more than 100 people there in 2017. Mi9 Retail has increased its physical space to accommodate this growing workforce.
In 2016, Mi9 Retail grew its U.S. workforce by 65 percent. Of the new positions, 60 percent are technical roles relating to product development, professional services, and customer support. The company is actively recruiting new candidates in all areas of the business.
According to the Kauffman Foundation’s 2016 Index of Startup Activity, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area ranks No. 2 of the 40 largest metro areas studied. “The Miami area is attractive to a rapidly growing company like ours,” said Neil Moses, CEO of Mi9 Retail. “We have been successful in recruiting people who have cutting edge technical skills and retail experience, and who want to grow their career by working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.”
