BEALL’S MAKES CHANGES TO SENIOR LEADERSHIP
Bradenton, Florida-based retailer Beall’s Inc. has made some changes to its senior leadership team.
Dave Alves (52) has been promoted to president and chief retail officer for Beall’s Retail Group. With this change, Alves will be adding Beall’s Stores to his list of responsibilities, that already included Beall’s Outlet Stores, Burke’s Outlet Stores, Home Centric, and Bunulu. Prior to Beall’s, Alves previously held leadership positions at Hudson’s Bay Co., TJX Companies, and Sterling Shoes.
And, Dan Love (56) has been promoted to president and chief support officer for Beall’s Support Group (BSG). BSG has the responsibility of supporting our retail operations in areas such as finance, information services, loss prevention, and logistics. Love joined Beall’s Outlet stores in 2006 as chief operating officer. During the past 14 years, he has also served Beall’s as chief financial officer, president of Beall’s Inc. and president of Beall’s Stores. Prior to Beall’s, Love held leadership positions at May Company, Macy’s, and LL Bean.
“With this change in structure, we now have all of our retail banners under a common retail leader: Dave Alves,” said Matt Beall, CEO of Beall’s. “Through the support of Dan Love and his team, the future of Beall’s is bright. These are two extremely talented leaders who care deeply about our company, our employees and our guests. The benefits that we see coming from this change are vast. They include increased buying/negotiation power, additional knowledge sharing between teams, report consolidation, reducing duplicative work and spending, and creating additional options for career advancement, development, and learning! Although retail is in a state of constant change, we are proud to report that our business has never been stronger. We believe that this change positions us for an even brighter future!”
