BLACKSTOCK & WEBER UPDATES GLOVERALL DUFFLE COAT

by Michael Macko

New York-based men’s lifestyle brand, Blackstock & Weber (B&W) has joined forces with iconic British coat makers Gloverall to deliver a modern twist on the British heritage brand’s duffle coat. The limited capsule of Fall/Winter items is composed of fall-weight houndstooth sourced from legendary wool mill, Harris Tweed.

B&W’s founder and creative director, Chris Echevarria, has made a practice of expressing his reverence for traditional menswear design by reimagining classic styles through his lens. This upcoming collaboration with Gloverall is no exception.

Gloverall has been making its renowned duffle coat since 1951 when it became the first company to reimagine the military style coat for civilian use. Since then, the brand has established itself as one of the premier heritage brands in luxury menswear, and the duffle coat has become a staple in wardrobes everywhere. In keeping with tradition, all the company’s apparel is still hand-produced in England and held to the highest quality standards.

The use of Harris Tweed’s luxe houndstooth is a nod to that same premium English craftsmanship, as well as to timeless British style. After over 100 years in business, the iconic wool mill still spins all of its fabrics in three, family-owned Scottish factories.

The Gloverall Duffle Coat Pack, Exclusively for Blackstock & Weber, will be available on Oct 20th at 12p EST, only via blackstockandweber.com and gloverall.com.
