American fashion designer Brett Johnson debuted his fall/winter ’16 collection at Skylight Clarkson North on February 2, showcasing a line of casually tailored and sophisticated sportswear that even the world most powerful men will want to wear outside the boardroom.

“I was inspired by the leisure life style of influential men,” says Johnson, adding that he relied on the Italian notion of “Sprezzatura” for creating these looks.

The collection, which was hand-made in Italy, includes subtly-fitted blazers, trousers with slightly nipped waists, comfortably fitted overcoats, and more. Fabrics include sues, brushed cottons, natural cashmeres, high-performance nylons, and embossed nubuck leathers, all rendered in a stunning palette of earth tones, ranging from loden green to rich burgundies, along with a spectrum of blues.
