Luxury Italian menswear brand Brioni has tapped the iconic Sir Anthony Hopkins as the face of its fall/winter 2017 advertising campaign.

Shot in Los Angeles by photographer Gregory Harris, the campaign features Sir Hopkins in a multitude of looks in a series of black-and-white photos.

Considered one of the most prolific and versatile actors of our time, Sir Hopkins’ career has encompassed highly acclaimed appearances on stage, film and television for close to five decades. The company stated that “his slew of iconic performances, diverse awards and elegant nature attest him as the ultimate aspiration for the Brioni man.”

This news comes as the brand has been going through a multitude of changes. Just last month, Brioni named Maison Martin Margiela alumni Nina-Maria Nitsche as creative director, who replaced Justin O’Shea who left the brand in October 2016 after a short stint at the helm of the brand. And, in March, Brioni’s parent company Kering named Fabrizio Malverdi as the CEO of the brand. Malverdi, who previously led such brands as Agent Provocateur, Dior Homme, Givenchy, and John Galliano, is now charged with steering the company back to success.
