BUTTAFLY BRINGS ELEVATED STREETWEAR TO MOUNT VERNON

by Stephen Garner

A new streetwear destination has opened its doors in the Westchester County town of Mount Vernon, New York.

Located at 148 S 4th Avenue, Buttafly is offering the latest and greatest that streetwear has to offer from brands including Soulland, Diet Starts Monday, Arts Meets Chaos, Chinatown Market, Kappa, Malin & Goetz, Veja, Puma, and more.

The new 2,500 square foot store is the dream of sneaker and streetwear veterans Trevor Delmore and Jude Sainjour, who came together last year to build a streetwear destination for a neighborhood in need of an elevated retail experience. With a design and shopping experience of a store you’d find in downtown Manhattan, this new space serves as a blueprint for the local Mount Vernon neighborhood, as Delmore notes that the area is undergoing a revitalization. The duo hopes that their store will attract other like-minded creatives in order to foster a new and thriving Mount Vernon community that’s already steeped in history.

“We curate the best products, designers, and brands for our clientele so you don’t have to worry about staying on top of the latest trends, styles, and drops,” Delmore explains. “And like the goods we carry, we’re committed to offering a premium shopping experience – whether online or in-store.” Delmore also noted that the company is in the midst of developing and building out its online experience. Buttafly’s site is already live, but expect to see an enhanced experience soon.

Events will also be at the core of Buttafly’s business. Delmore also told MR that the team is working on a full list of community-engaging events that they hope to launch this fall. “If you’re in the area, please stop by and show your support!”
