CLARKS AND WU-TANG CLAN TEAM UP FOR ICE CREAM-INSPIRED WALLABEES

Clarks Originals has teamed up again with Wu Wear on a range of limited-edition Wallabees. The newest collection follows the success of last season’s capsule which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Wu-Tang Clan’s debut album.

Inspired by lyrics from “Ice Cream” and “Glaciers of Ice”, the capsule collection was crafted using the finest suede from long-time Clarks Originals partner, Charles F. Stead tannery. These collectors’ edition shoes will feature leather trim, the classic Clarks Originals crepe sole and are water and stain-resistant.

The creation of these designs utilized the idea of melting, swirling ice cream, with color references from flavors mentioned in both songs.

“As the Wu-Tang Clan, who have become synonymous with the explosion of the East Coast rap scene that ushered in the sound of the mid-1990s, we decided to take a more lyrical approach for autumn/winter ’19,” said Clarks in a statement. “This season looked to the depths of their lyrics as touchpoints to influence the design and color palette of this limited edition drop as an ode and commemoration to the lyrical masterpieces, they have created with each spoken word surpassing time and age.”

The collection is available in navy, brown and maple for both men and women on Saturday, July 20th on ClarksUSA.com.
