COLMAR ENTERS NORTH AMERICAN MARKET IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THROAT THREADS APPAREL
Italian luxury ski and outerwear brand Colmar — family-owned and in its fourth generation of leadership — is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, partnering with Throat Threads Apparel to present its sophisticated collection to the North American market.
“We are excited to partner with Throat Threads Apparel, starting with our Fall/Winter 23 collection. Both our companies share the same vision and values,” says Stefano Colombo, Colmar’s Head of Sales & Marketing. “This year our company is celebrating 100 years, and our commitment continues to focus on quality product, the research of new technologies, and style innovation. We are certain the North American consumer will appreciate the passion we put into our brand.”
The Throat Threads Apparel team (hailed for its expertise in sales, marketing, logistics, and much more) is proud to align with Colmar, a company that shares its core values, as well as the values of so many of its retail partners and consumers.
Colmar embraces its multifaceted history, always evolving with innovations in style, fabric, and technology while embracing change through an increased emphasis on sustainability and inclusion. The heavyweight outerwear and parka market was impacted by ever-changing climates and mild winters across North America in 2022, but Colmar has found its niche with an impeccable selection of light- to midweight outerwear pieces. With its origins in ski and performance, the adventure-seeker can now enjoy a chalet-to-city lifestyle through Colmar Originals in both men’s and women’s styles.
In January the brand introduced its new creative director and consultant, Yosuke Aizawa — founder of outdoor lifestyle brand White Mountaineering — at an event held atop Milan’s tallest tower, the Torre Branca. Aizawa — who designed a collaboration between the two brands in 2020 — will design Revolution, the most sought-after line in the Colmar Originals collection, thereby further expanding its reach into the contemporary market.
Embraced by celebrities including Idris Elba, Bradley Cooper, Lil Nas X, Gigi Hadid, Dua Lipa, Gisele Bündchen, and many others, Throat Threads Apparel looks forward to seeing the Colmar logo on the shoulder of many more customers in the coming years, throughout Canada and the United States.
The latest collection can be seen at the Chicago Collective (Booth #10093) from February 4th to 7th, as well as at the Throat Threads offices in Toronto and Montreal, Canada.
