CUBAVERA CELEBRATES WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MAN

by Stephen Garner

Perry Ellis International’s Cubavera brand has launched a multifaceted campaign celebrating what it truly means to be a man.

The campaign, called #CubaveraMan, delves deep into the essence of four men and highlights their genuine self-confidence, individual passions for the things they love, and how they take pride in demonstrating strong family values. The brand aims to showcase how these men live their lives to the fullest and embody the story and authenticity of Cubavera.

The multi-cultural campaign features a diverse group of male personalities including model Andre Costa; Latin telenovela actor Juan Soler; Univision Despierta America chef Jesus Diaz, and big-and-tall influencer Kyle Andrew who all personify the values and diversity of the brand in their own unique way. Told in their own voices, each man shares defining aspects of being a man, being true to themselves, and looking their best.

The socially-driven campaign features emotional video short films showcasing these men. Additional content will live on cubavera.com, along with curated, shoppable product options.

In the campaign, they each wear the latest styles from Cubavera’s fall ‘19 collection that reflect the brand’s product pillars: guayaberas, panel shirts, embroideries, novelty tropical prints, and linens. Each personality has also curated their favorite styles to help consumers put their look together.

Cubavera believes there is never a better time than Hispanic Heritage Month to share their story with the world. “Every man should discover their Latin side. Nothing looks better on a man than the right balance of swagger, and values,” said Lisa Kauffman, CMO for Perry Ellis International.

Shoppers will also be able to experience the campaign in the new Cubavera store opening in the Dolphin Mall located in Miami, FL in October. As part of the opening event, Grammy Award-nominated band Orishas will be making a personal appearance.
