Nearly 500 guests gathered at Gotham Hall in NYC on Tuesday night to celebrate Delivering Good‘s impact while honoring four remarkable leaders in philanthropy and business. The evening raised more than $1.4 million, including nearly $100,000 from an auction and paddle raise appeal, furthering the organization’s mission of connecting excess new merchandise with people facing poverty and disaster.
Throughout the night, we were inspired by the words of honorees Abbey Doneger, Dr. Joyce F. Brown, Prashant Agrawal, and Brieane Olson, each celebrated for their commitment to using business as a force for good. Emceed by our own Delivering Good Ambassador Daiane Sodré and President & CEO Matthew Fasciano, the program included a heartfelt address from Board Chair Andrea Weiss and an introduction to our new Basic Comforts Pack initiative, which brings essential items like t-shirts, socks, underwear, sweatshirts and sweatpants, and blankets to families in crisis.
Sodre said, “Tonight is more than just a celebration, it’s a testament to the incredible impact we can make when we come together as a community. Whether it’s a new pair of shoes, warm clothing, or household essentials, we all know that small comforts can make a world of difference, especially during life’s toughest moments.”
The evening also honored John Pomerantz, the former chairman and chief executive officer of Leslie Fay Company, Inc., with the Luminary Award.
Guests enjoyed an elegant evening with cocktails, dinner, and an exciting live auction led by auctioneer Christopher Hanke. Auction highlights included an immersive experience with Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth at the Sphere, a luxurious ad exclusive dining experience at The Modern, an all-inclusive stay at Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, tickets to the 2024 Macy’s Parade grandstand, and much more.
