DIVE INTO OUR FIRST-EVER DIGITAL ISSUE
This year has hardly gone according to plan, but we are all striving to find new ways of continuing to move our businesses forward.
As such, when we were deciding how to best approach our editorial strategy for the rest of the year, we did what most of you had to do – adapt.
Our first step was to tap our friend Matthew Miller ( aka @sunflowerman) to create whimsical illustrations depicting some of the best trends for next spring. This ensured we wouldn’t have to produce any non-socially-distant photoshoots this go-around.
Next up was trying to determine, with everything that is going on in the world, what kind of content made the most sense for us to tackle in this, our first-ever all-digital issue.
You’ll find features on the state of the tailored clothing and sportswear markets, arguably two of the most affected categories due to working-from-home. We also tackle what to expect when going online to do shop your favorite menswear trade shows this season. So far, we’ve caught up with a handful of retailers that have given us their feedback on how the switch to digital buying is really going.
Further, in an attempt to begin a conversation that we hope MR readers will continue, we ask a few people of color in our industry to share their personal experiences with racism, and their suggestions for moving a bit closer to the diversity and social justice our industry, and our country, so desperately deserve.
The magazine also takes a look at how several menswear executives and influencers have spent their time in quarantine, as well as a look at fashion’s newest must-have accessory – the face mask.
Also, don’t miss our interview with twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, who are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their label DSquared2. And, be on the lookout for our popular “Ones to Watch” section highlighting three new brands you must check out.
Here’s to a brighter rest of the year. Stay well, everyone.
