DR. MARTENS UNVEILS LOWELL COLLECTION

by John Russel Jones

Dr. Martens,  drawing from its extensive archive, introduces the Lowell collection, a modern reinterpretation of classic workwear-inspired silhouettes. The Lowell shoe resurrects an archival silhouette, appealing to the post-sneaker generation with design elements from various footwear traditions, including the moc toe. This four-eye shoe is subtly refined, endlessly wearable, and built for contemporary culture.

Crafted for early mornings and late finishes, the Lowell shoe suits freelance lifestyles, unexpected client feedback, and the demands of a fast-paced work environment. It’s designed for diverse activities, from exploring vinyl collections and curating wardrobes to buying expensive coffee before a long day and seamlessly transitioning from day to night.

The Lowell collection features neutral shades and high-quality leathers, offering easy-wearing craftsmanship with day-to-night versatility. Design embellishments include stitched side detailing, a leather heel tab, a padded collar, and a moccasin toe. The shoes are set on a rugged BEN outsole with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitch. Available in black Analine leather, butterscotch Orleans leather, olive with brown highlights, and tan with butterscotch highlights in Hairy Suede, the collection caters to a range of styles and preferences.

The Lowell collection, lensed by Dani Aphrodite in New York City, is now available on www.drmartens.com, retailing for $170.
