DUVIN DESIGN AND MIAMI HEAT JOIN FORCES ON 1980S INSPIRED CAPSULE

by John Russel Jones

Duvin Design, creators of the Official Uniform of People Who Hate Uniforms, is pleased to unveil a limited-edition collaboration with Court Culture, the official in-house apparel brand of the Miami HEAT. The collection is infused with Duvin’s signature Floridian nostalgia and reimagines spring break 1988 through the lens of a HEAT fan, paying homage to the vibrant spirit of 1980s Miami.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic HEAT colorways, the collaboration features 14 SKUs rendered in vintage color palettes and prints that echo the energy and style of “the 305.” The palette includes pink and orange, infused with a touch of teal reminiscent of Miami’s palm trees and waters. Prints appear throughout the range as homages to Miami life, with parrots, windsurfers, and cigarette boats. Pieces include garment-washed T-shirts, swim trunks, and vintage-inspired Tencel button-ups ideal for beach-to-bar dressing. Retails range from $40 to $74, and the collaborative capsule March 22, 2024.

“Our brand has always been rooted in a vintage Florida lifestyle, so this collaboration with Court Culture was such a natural fit,” says Austin Duvall, Co-Founder of Duvin Design. “By delving into the archives and revisiting the HEAT’s inaugural season, we are excited to have created something truly unique. Excited to take Miami HEAT fans on a quick trip… back to 1988!”

“We’ve been big fans of Duvin for a long time, so we were especially stoked to collaborate with them on this collection,” stated Manuel Fabian, Creative Director of the Miami HEAT. “The nostalgic designs celebrate the vibes of yesteryear and are something that I think our fans in the 305 will love!”

Fans will be able to purchase the collection exclusively at Miami HEAT stores located at Kaseya Center, Dadeland Mall, Dolphin Mall, Pembroke Lakes Mall, and Miami International Airport.
