Egeck CEO of 7 For All Mankind
NEW YORK – Michael Egeck has been named chief executive officer of 7 For All Mankind LLC, the luxury denim specialist, effective Aug. 15. As CEO, he succeeds Peter Koral, founder of 7, who remains chairman and president.
VF Corp. has appointed Dave Gatto to succeed Egeck as president of its Outdoor Americas Coalition, which includes The North Face, Reef, Vans, Napapijri, JanSport and Eastpak. John Wilson will succeed Gatto as president of Reef.
Egeck served as president of The North Face for four years beginning in 2000, and directed the acquisitions of both Vans in 2004 and Reef in 2005. A veteran of Seattle Pacific Industries, he was responsible for the launch of Columbia Sportswear’s sportswear division.
Gatto, who will report to Eric Wiseman, VF’s president and chief operating officer, joined Reef in 2003 and earlier in his career held executive posts with L.A. Gear and eToys. Wilson, who reports to Gatto, has been with Reef since 1999 and has been vice president of domestic sales and apparel for the past two years.
7 For All Mankind has been among the leaders in the premium denim market. Bear Stearns Merchant Banking acquired a 50% stake in the company in March 2005. Egeck will report to the firm’s board of directors.
