Eljo’s men’s store on the market

Myles Thurston could tell you the history of men’s clothing in Charlottesville, and probably the history of men’s clothing around the world.

Thurston came to work for Ell and Jo Hyman at their Charlottesville men’s store, Eljo’s, as a 19-year-old some 60 years ago, back when it was in the University of Virginia- adjacent Corner shopping district, and he never looked back.
