Los Angeles-based experiential retailer Fred Segal has teamed up with premium eyewear company Salt to launch a capsule collection of bespoke sunglasses.

Featuring signature custom craftsmanship and luxury detailing the FSLA x SALT. collection consists of luxe yet laidback unisex styles that mix classic design elements with a retro vibe. The collaboration tells a unique color story that pairs the heritage of Fred Segal prints and iconic red, white and blue color palette with the design of classic eyewear laminates. The inspiration behind the new Fred Segal colorway was the iconic Fred Segal color scheme combined with the aesthetics of vintage ski glasses of the ‘60s.

The collection’s range of nine frames includes Reiner—an oversized square frame in the signature Fred Segal red and navy colorway; Francisco—a tinted aviator, Nielsen—a matte thick classic square frame.  Each pair of sunglasses come with a sleek custom case including an inside lining featuring a mashup of FSLA and SALT. lettering. The outside packaging and branded cleansing cloth will coincide with a daisy floral motif on top of a classic California swimming pool.

“Fred Segal has always been a place to find uniquely curated products inspired by California and its effortless casual style,” said Allison Samek, CEO of Fred Segal. “We’re excited to launch this collaboration with SALT. who shares our passion for premium quality, perfect fit, and timeless design.”

The FSLA x The SALT. collection will retail for $450 for the acetate frames and $475 for the titanium aviator frames and will be available at Fred Segal Sunset, Fred Segal stores in LAX and Switzerland, online at FredSegal.com, saltoptics.com and various SALT retail accounts worldwide.
