You may know Frette as the pinnacle for luxury linens, but did you know the brand makes loungewear?

Since 1860, Frette has produced linens and home furnishings of unparalleled quality. From its bases in Monza and Milan, Frette employs only the finest fibers and most skilled artisans to craft a range of products that have come to embody luxury, comfort, and creativity across the globe. Known for its chic, original design, and inimitable finish and feel, Frette bed linens can be found in many of the world’s most prestigious hotels as well as in the most discerning private homes, yachts and aircraft.

Now, the brand offers “Frette-To-Wear”, a collection for men and women comprised of elegant loungewear crafted from the finest materials. For fall/winter 2019 the brand’s women’s signature Shell nightgown and robe made from silk with lace will be introduced in beige/black while the new Roxbury robe for men has been rendered in a luxurious wool and cashmere blend.

Here we chat with Frette’s CEO Filippo Arnaboldi about its best-selling apparel items, key items for this season, and how the brand continues to grow this category.

Q: When did you start getting into apparel items?

A: Frette created its first full collection of homewear in 1889, around the same time the company introduced catalogue mail-order sales. Frette-To-Wear, the brand’s comprehensive range of stylish loungewear for men and women, launched nearly a century later in 1999.

Q: What are some of the best-selling men’s items?

A: Our Frette-To-Wear offerings, especially for men, ranging from luxurious robes and leather slippers to elegant pajama sets. Clients are particularly drawn to the selection of robes as part of our Frette-To-Wear offering due to their sartorial elegance and meticulous attention to detail. The classic leather Kepler Slippers have also become a best-seller due to their timeless simplicity and durability.

Q: What are your hopes for the apparel line?

A: Frette has evolved to become a luxury lifestyle brand that extends beyond the confines of the master bedroom. With Frette-To-Wear, we seek to continue offering our clients a range of high-quality loungewear pieces for both men and women that are comfortable yet stylish and seamlessly blend into their personal style of living.

Q: What are the key items for this newest season?

A: This season, we are excited to introduce a selection of new robes and slippers especially for men. The signature Kepler Slipper will now be available in a rich chocolate-colored leather while our quintessential cotton Noblesse Pyjamas will be reimagined in a navy blue with subtle brown piping. Additionally, we’ll be introducing the Roxbury Robe – a shawl collar robe with pockets in a blend of wool and cashmere – as well as the yarn-dyed twill cotton Madison Pyjama in light azure.

Q: Will you be expanding the line as you move on to new seasons?

A: With Frette-To-Wear, we remain committed to offering our clients a curated collection of loungewear for both men and women. While specific offerings and designs will evolve from season to season, our focus is to create pieces that are comfortable, stylish and of the highest quality.
