Harvey Nichols Gives Its Menswear Department A 21st Century Revamp

Following a surprising drop in sales last year, newly appointed Chief Executive Stacey Cartwright, previously chief financial officer at Burberry, knew that it was time for the traditional store to get a revamp, starting with the ailing menswear department.

Nine months later and the two-floor section is due to open its doors next month. The 28,000 ft department has had a complete refurb and will see the continuation of lines from the likes of Dsquared2 and Dries Van Noten, but will also feature new collections such as Kanye West’s Yeezy line. The area will also feature a brand new cafe and even a barber shop, taking the male shopping experience to a new level. The overhaul will see the newest technologies and a contemporary image for the store and Cartwright hopes that it will enhance sales and make the menswear department London’s best once again.
