HELP FOR UKRAINE: EACH OF US CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

by Karen Alberg Grossman

If we as individuals ever feel we’re not powerful enough to change the world, I’d like to share this short story from Jody Morneault at Stackpole Moore Tryon in Hartford, Conn.

“So it all started with a friend, Jaime McDonald, from Bears Smoke House, a local restaurant in Hartford. He recently went to Poland to volunteer his time with World Central Kitchen. He was looking for donations and I started to wonder what I could do to help him raise money to feed all those wonderful people.

“A week ago, my friend Ellis Echevarria agreed to design a T-shirt. He then put me in contact with Gerry Barker of Barker Specialty who immediately printed the T-shirts; two days later, they were delivered to our store and are already selling like crazy.

“The T-Shirts retail for 25.00; all proceeds go to World Central Kitchen. People want to help but aren’t sure what to do. I’m currently looking for other retailers to get on board and sell these T-shirts. Anyone interested, please contact me at Jody@stackpolemooretryon.com. Rewarding does not begin to describe how good it feels to help.”
