Here’s The Verdict On Erdem’s First Menswear Collection
British designer Erdem Moralioglu is best known for producing perfectly pretty party frocks in floral prints for the world’s most immaculately heeled women. Beloved of such ethereal beings as Keira Knightley, Alexa Chung, and the entire staff of British Harper’s Bazaar, Moralioglu has carved an ultra-feminine niche for himself since founding his eponymous brand in 2005. One area of the fashion pool into which Moralioglu has been cautious about dipping his toes thus far (perhaps unsurprisingly, given his pedigree) is that of menswear. Indeed, short of the flora-coated men’s capsule he produced as part of his 2017 collaboration with H&M, the Montreal-born designer has long steered clear of man-sized shirts, suits, and greatcoats.
