HIGH SCHOOL OF FASHION INDUSTRIES UNVEILS 2024 HOLIDAY WINDOWS
It must be the most wonderful time of the year, because New York City’s High School of Fashion Industries’ Visual Merchandising Class hosted its Holiday Windows unveiling on Tuesday, December 12th, at the school’s Chelsea location. As always, the work of the students sparkled, demonstrating once again that the future of our industry is in good hands.
The Visual Merchandising Class is under the guidance of its dedicated instructor Mr. Christopher Paquet, and HSFI Board Member Jack Bergamino (who’s done visual merchandising for Paul Smith, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Bloomingdale’s, and many more), who lent a hand.
MR thanks our colleague and tireless HSFI champion and board member, lifestyle commentator Robert Di Mauro, for providing us with these wonderful photos. Di Mauro pointed out that the structures in those vitrines are all handmade!
HSFI has a 90% graduation rate with nearly all graduates moving on to college. Its advisory board includes industry professionals from IMG, Swarovski, Kleinfeld Bridal, Citizen, Ellen Tracy, Saks Fifth Avenue, The International Center of Photography, and Anne Klein, all of whom help raise money for the school and individual student scholarships, provide work-based internships and support the school’s curriculum. Majors include Fashion Design, Graphics and illustration, Fashion Merchandising Management, and Visual Merchandising.
Happy holidays to all! We’re already looking forward to next spring’s HSFI fashion show and career day.
Gorgeous work! Stellar!
