HUF LINKS WITH RAPPER SMINO

by Stephen Garner

Following Huf’s first drop from its spring 2020 collection and the debut of its “NonStandard” collection last month, the streetwear brand has now teamed up with rapper Smino to star in its second campaign of the season.

Shot by Rick Rodney, the Huf x Smino campaign coincides with delivery two of the brand’s spring 2020 collection, and the inauguration of the Huf Sound Series taking place in Los Angeles this week.

The Huf Sound Series puts a spotlight on eclectic artists on the rise who are reshaping the culture through their music and individual style. Smino is an American rapper from St. Louis, who came up in the Chicago music scene, and is the founder of the musical collective Zero Fatigue. His melodic raps fused with a heavy influence from funk and soul give him a futuristic sound that has brought together fans from all walks of life. Smino has dropped two albums in the past three years – blkswn in 2017 and NØIR in 2018 – and is set to kick off a European tour later this month.

To celebrate the launch of this campaign and Huf Sound Series, Smino will be performing at the event at an undisclosed DTLA location on March 12th. The event will be free and open to the public via an RSVP link that the brand will announce closer to the event.

Delivery two of Huf spring 2020 is also set to release on Thursday, March 12th, and will be available at the brand’s flagship stores and online shop.
