J.CREW PARTNERS WITH ENGINEERED GARMENTS TO LAUNCH CAPSULE

by John Russel Jones

J.Crew has launched a limited-edition menswear collaboration with the Japanese-American brand Engineered Garments, bringing a fresh perspective to the blend of NYC and New England style.

The new collection showcases the signature elements of Engineered Garments—generous fits and creative pocket placements— reimagined in classic J.Crew staples. The result is a fresh yet familiar take on menswear styles such as merino wool sweaters, military-inspired chinos, heritage outerwear, and an accompanying Crewcuts children’s collection.

Founded by Daiki Suzuki, Engineered Garments is renowned for its distinctive aesthetic, which blends Japanese craftsmanship with vintage workwear, streetwear, and outdoor gear. Over the past 25 years, the brand has built a devoted following thanks to its unique designs, functional details, and eclectic mix of fits and fabrics. Collaborating closely with Daiki and his team, J.Crew pushed the boundaries of its foundational styles, resulting in familiar yet unexpected takes on wardrobe staples perfect for the winter season.
