JOHN VARVATOS DROPS HACKNEY DIAMONDS T-SHIRT FOR STONES TOUR

by John Russel Jones

The best things in life are free, but seeing The Rolling Stones in concert is gonna cost ya. While tickets for their upcoming tour at MetLife Stadium start at $63, they go all the way up to $1,665. Clearly Mick, Keith, and Ronnie want money (that’s what I want)!

In keeping with the theme, John Varvatos is celebrating the ‘Hackney Diamonds’ North American tour with a limited-edition T-shirt honoring the 26th studio album of the rock legends. The design echoes the untamed spirit of The Stones during this monumental chapter in rock history. The front features a vintage-inspired stencil of the early ’70s tongue and lips logo, an iconic emblem of rock defiance. On the reverse, each stop of this cultural phenomenon is marked.

Limited to just 100 hand-numbered pieces, this collector’s item is available exclusively at the brand’s New York locations starting on May 21st, and priced at $188. This piece is the gateway to The Rolling Stones’ immortal legacy.  Immortality is expensive!

Look at it this way. A vintage 1981 Stones baseball shirt is currently selling at circular apparel retail site Recycled Clothing for a mere $1,200, so the Varvatos model suddenly seems like a bargain. Think of it as an investment! How much will this limited edition be worth in 43 years?

Now that’ll pay the bills.
