KENDRICK LAMAR AND REEBOK RELEASE NEW VIDEO
Reebok Classics and multi-platinum selling artist Kendrick Lamar have released their latest YouTube video in conjunction with the recent release of Lamar’s take on one of Reebok’s most iconic shoes, the Classic Leather.
Using vintage film equipment to capture Lamar at his most raw, the rap superstar shares his first experience of the Classic Leather through a candid film that celebrates individuality, inspires self-expression and is rooted in authenticity.
The sneaker, which was created with designer and Reebok brand partner Ian Parley, features a longitudinal seam running down the middle to symbolize the major decisions in Kendrick’s life and his split between fame, his voice and the responsibility that comes with it. The blue and red accents express the existing divide between gangs and to emphasize Kendrick’s message of a call for neutrality.
