[metaslider id=111650] Knot Standard, a national chain of custom clothiers, celebrated the opening of its new 6,000-square-foot New York City showroom at 19 West 24th Street on Wednesday, May 18.

The six-year-old company, which began as a purely e-commerce business, expects to serve over 600 customers per month in the showroom, which features five fitting areas equipped with large digital screens on which you can see your product during the design process. The business is strictly by appointment, and customers can meet with one of the showroom’s stylists after work or on weekends if required.

According to co-founders John Ballay and Matthew Mueller, the company is primarily serving men in their 30s, many of whom are seeking suits, sportcoats and other items that follow the latest fashion trends. The company uses fabrics from such well-known mills as Loro Piana, Dormeuil, and Zegna, to name a few, and has over 8,000 patterns available. Delivery usually takes three to four weeks, except for some hard-to-order fabrics, plus a few days after a fitting for additional alterations.
