KOHL’S CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH

by John Russel Jones

Celebrating Black History Month (which starts today), department store Kohl’s has unveiled its Black History Month products and initiatives. The retailer has partnered with Emmy-nominated illustrator Erin K. Robinson, also known as Brooklyn Dolly on Instagram, to create a Sonoma Community collection of clothing and accessories. To further commemorate Black History Month, the National Urban League received $100,000 from Kohl’s, through Kohl’s Cares, to help support its mission to advance economic empowerment, health equity, educational, job, and housing opportunities and ensure the protection of civil rights for marginalized communities across America.

Men’s Fashion

The menswear portion of Kohl’s celebration includes the Sonoma Community Black History Month Positively Black Long Sleeve Tee ($24.99 retail, shown at top), a 100% cotton long-sleeve crewneck T-shirt to celebrate the light that Black Americans bring to every space they occupy.

The Sonoma Community Black History Month Jogger ($34.99) features a stylish monochromatic foil print with ribbed cuffs and a relaxed fit.

Finally, a Mitchell & Ness Black New York Knicks Black History Month Snapback Hat ($37.99) features an adjustable closure for the perfect fit and a trendy high crown and comes in styles for various NBA teams.
