LEDBURY HIRES CMO, CFO TO SUPPORT OMNICHANNEL EXPANSION
Luxury shirtmaker and menswear brand Ledbury has hired two senior executives as the brand grows its e-commerce, catalog, wholesale, and retail businesses. Bill Eyre has been named Ledbury’s new chief marketing officer and Jennifer Villarreal has been named its chief financial officer.
“Ledbury has dramatically evolved in the last year, as we’ve added a wholesale business, launched a robust catalog strategy and opened a new retail location in Washington, DC – all while our e-commerce business has continued to grow,” said Paul Trible, co-founder and CEO of Ledbury. “And we’re just getting starting. Bill and Jennifer will be integral additions to our leadership team as we further accelerate these strategies. Their industry experience and expertise will inform our plans as Ledbury transforms from an e-commerce shirtmaker to an omnichannel menswear brand.”
Eyre comes to Ledbury from outdoor retailer Orvis, where he gained nearly 20 years’ experience as the director of branding and corporate marketing and, previously, the director of advertising. In his new role at Ledbury, he will lead marketing strategies across all channels and manage the in-house creative and marketing team of seven people. Eyre started at Ledbury in mid-April 2016.
“Bill is taking on the massive project of aligning all of our marketing campaigns and tactics across all of our channels,” said Trible. “He has handily proven that his deep experience and thoughtful approach will be a powerful asset for Ledbury, charging us forward as we expand distribution. Bill also has a particular expertise in catalog and direct mail strategies, a tremendous boon as those new programs are becoming an important part of our business.”
Villarreal was most recently the vice president of finance and operations at Turnbull and Asser, the 130-year-old British luxury shirtmaker, where she managed the company’s retail, wholesale and e-commerce verticals. Her previous experience includes chief financial officer at CFDA-nominated fashion label Simon Spurr and vice president of finance and operations at Brooklyn Industries. Villarreal started at Ledbury on June 1, 2016.
“We were drawn to Jenny’s incredible industry experience and her very relevant proficiency leading production planning and brick-and-mortar operations,” added Paul Watson, co-founder and COO at Ledbury. “We are excited to have her deep financial and operating expertise as we continue to scale the business.”
