MARC NOLAN UPGRADES CHICAGO FLAGSHIP STORE

Since 2018, the Marc Nolan brand has made a name for itself by creating footwear that mixes classic and contemporary, dress and casual, and with prices starting at just $125, they also come at a good value. After a revenue growth that spanned +2,390% across the last three years, Marc Nolan recently landed on the Inc. 5000 Most Successful Companies list for the second year in a row, this year at spot #258. Anticipating an additional YOY growth of 34% for 2023, the brand is celebrating with a makeover of its flagship retail location in Chicago’s West Loop.

“We are very fortunate in being able to evolve the experience at our flagship retail location alongside the growth of the greater brand,” says Marc Nolan Founder and CEO, Sebastian Malczewski. “I wanted the space to feel more refined and approachable, a space you’d actually want to hang out in. An elegant lounge-like atmosphere that was befitting to our range of loyal customers,” adds Malczewski.

Located at 169 N Sangamon Street, the newly renovated 1,300 sq. ft. space was produced in collaboration with Diana Tsiklauri (Situ Design Company, @situ_design). Neutral tones fill the space amongst rows of sleek custom shelving, constructed with a mix of beautiful reclaimed wood and built-in interior lighting. A range of mid-century modern seating, channeling the classic nostalgia of eras gone by, will flank the space throughout. Popular installations like the brand’s signature plant wall will remain, while the addition of a new coffee bar offers both daily caffeine refreshments and happy hour-ready espresso martinis. The brand will continue to make use of the space for event programming, like exclusive shoe drop collaborations with local Chicago creatives and DJ-centric shopping nights.

This season the brand is also proud to unveil a new ad campaign starring a trio of noted brand fans and Chicago hometown favorites, former Chicago White Sox player/manager Ozzie Guillén, DJ Kid Clay, and play-by-play announcer Ray Flores. “Ozzie, Ray, and Clay have all supported us for a long time, since when we were just starting out. Each embodies the Marc Nolan spirit of interesting people doing interesting things, men of character who continually get better with age. The perfect choice to be the face of our campaign this season,” finishes Malczewski.

Captured inside the Freehand Hotel Chicago’s Penthouse Suite, the brand’s fall/winter campaign also highlights the best of Marc Nolan’s newest styles for the season including the Navy Patent Leather ‘Atlas’ Strap Boots, the Pink Mohair Suede ‘Lincoln’ Cap Toe Boots, and the Black Patent Gator x Black Sheepskin Suede ‘Red Bottom’ Alexander Wingtips.
