MAVI RELEASES 25TH ANNIVERSARY ‘ANTHOLOGY’ BOOK
Premium denim and apparel company Mavi has chronicled its 25-year rise to international brand-hood in its new book Mavi Anthology.
The book tells the unique story of a company which, over its quarter century, has continually grown and led innovation in a context of frequent and rapid changes. The narration extends beyond the confines of Turkey, Mavi’s country of birth, to span five continents. Drawing on Mavi’s extensive archives, Mavi Anthology takes a look at the company’s first 25 years and it offers inspiration to those with similar goals.
Within five years of Sait Akarlılar to launch Mavi Jeans in 1991, the company had become a market leader in Turkey. Under the second generation, it earned a place among the top five global brands, establishing a considerable presence in the North American market and expanding to 35 countries.
Mavi Anthology is more than a synopsis of events over the last quarter century; it reveals much that was previously unknown about the brand and its journey. Mavi Anthology chronicles the brand’s advance from its inception and, through theoretical and practical analyses, it dissects the nuances of constructing a brand.
