Mazer Tapped for Demo Marketing Post

NEW YORK – Alain Mazer has joined Pacific Sunwear of California as marketing director of the Demo stores division, effectively immediately.

Mazer, who was most recently vice president and director of global marketing at Hot Tuna (International), reports to Lou Ann Bett, president of Demo, and oversees promotions, advertising, creative and marketing development for the division. He will also work closely with executives at both Demo and Pacific Sunwear on graphic design, product merchandising and design and visual merchandising.

“Alain brings a track record of high-profile brand-building tempered with great marketing acumen and amazing experience as a participant and advocate of the Demo lifestyle,” said Bett. “He is a welcomed addition to the team as we continue in our commitment to meet the fashion and cultural requirements of our customer.”

Prior to joining Hot Tuna, Mazer was director of public relations at Ocean Pacific Apparel Corp. and president of Rock Turner Communications. He’s also served in consulting, editing and writing capacities with a number of fashion, action sports, entertainment and marketing firms.

As of May 5, Anaheim, Calif.-based Pacific Sunwear operated 1,123 stores through the US, including 152 Demo stores.
