Men and the Statement Necklace

Among the range of men’s sartorial choices in the 2022 spring and fall collections, there was one thing designers agreed upon: A necklace was indispensable.

In Milan, for example, Fendi’s fall men’s wear show in January included pearl chokers secured by double-F-shaped locks, which adorned a neck warmer and peeped out from under the collar of a pastel-hued shirt. And at Dolce & Gabbana spring men’s show last September, mounds of beaded sautoirs and long chains suggested that the #neckmess trend of recent years might become #chestmess.
