Los Angeles-based men’s lifestyle brand Bristol Studio has teamed up with brand Stance on a new collection. Now available, Bristol Studio x Stance will deliver two types of socks, a performance sock, a lifestyle double sock, and an exclusive Bristol Box set, all inspired by the game of basketball. 

The performance sock is the thickest – most cushioned – sock to be released by Stance to date. It’s folded and bar-tacked at the foot-opening as a nod to Bristol’s signature design language. A jacquard Bristol Studio detail is found on the fold.

The lifestyle sock is an homage to the two-socks that all hoopers wore at some point or another (either for cushioning on-court or style off-court). We used a cream and yellow colorway, also signature to Bristol’s design language. And it features a raised, 3-D, embroidery of the Bristol Studio logo on either side.

This capsule is about recapturing the love of the game – a pure love – that we all share in our youth. It’s a celebration of the moments throughout our day that illustrates this love: jumping to touch doorways (mirroring the layups or dunks on-court), shadow-dribbling through hallways, or folding up socks and shooting them into the hamper.

Central to this collaboration is the minute-long video Bristol Studio directed that brings this story to life. The brand says that the campaign “captures the ups and downs that are associated with pursuing the sport at a high-level, but ultimately, it’s a celebration of how deep our love for the game.” The film ends with the brand’s protagonist crumpling up his socks and shooting them into his hamper – a reminder that the game will always be with you.
