Menswear’s New Color Theory

As the camp-followers of menswear’s biannual fashion season set up shop in Milan and Paris last week, their horological equivalent was gathered in the salubrious surroundings of the Palexpo exhibition space in Geneva to review the latest inventory of the world’s most exquisite and/or enterprising watch-makers. Helpfully, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie – or SIHH, as it is known – also provides tell-tale insights into a few of the more stubborn trends to come in luxury accessories (after all, a watch, if not for life, is certainly for the next few years), and one seemed to coalesce nicely with the catwalks of London, Paris and Milan: a newly vibrant approach to color.
