Mitchell, Braeger to Receive MR Lifetime Achievement Awards
NEW YORK – Jack Mitchell, chief executive officer of Mitchells, Richards & Marshs in Westport, Conn., and Dick Braeger, president and owner of Garys in Newport Beach, Calif., have been named to receive MR Magazine’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards at the second annual Uptown/Downtown Awards dinner to be held at the Four Seasons Restaurant on Monday, July 23.
ENK International, producer of The Collective and Blue trade shows in New York and other industry events, will serve as corporate sponsor of the evening.
Mitchell and Braeger will be on hand to receive their honors, as will principals and other representatives of the 23 winners of the other Uptown/Downtown Awards.
“It’s really an honor for us to be able to salute these two people who have had such distinguished and amazing careers,” said Stu Nifoussi, publisher of MR. “They have each in their own way left a permanent imprint on the men’s business.”
Last year, Paul Stuart’s Cliff Grodd, San Francisco retailer Wilkes Bashford and Up Against the Wall, based in Washington, DC, were the first recipients of MR’s Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The lifetime winners and the 23 Uptown/Downtown honorees will be profiled in the July issue of MR Magazine.
