MONFRERE LAUNCHES F1 CAPSULE COLLECTION

by John Russel Jones

Who needs tunnel walks when we’ve got pitstops? The smell of burning tires, the sound of a revving engine, and the sight of a racecar bending around a track have gone hand-in-glove with men’s fashion ever since Steve McQueen’s 1971 movie LeMans made style history. So naturally, last week when Formula 1 racing returned to Las Vegas, Nevada, Los Angeles-based premium menswear brand Monfrère launched an exclusive capsule collection to celebrate the event.

The four-piece coordinating denim collection was exclusive to both Saks and Neiman Marcus in Sin City from November 18th through the race but is now rolling out nationwide. The Monfrère F1 collection highlights two-tone split denim in the brand’s signature Dean trucker jacket and Clint bootcut jean in Shadow (white/black) and Twilight (blue/denim) colorways. Pieces will retail for $328 for the Clint jeans and $448 for the Dean jacket.

Memphis Grizzlies Power Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (pictured above) is already a fan of the designs and was spotted in the look ahead of its release.

Gentlemen…start your denim engines.
