MR Magazine and Wainscot Media are proud to announce the honorees of this year’s MR Awards for Resilience and Reinvention. The Awards, which have been celebrated by the magazine and industry since 2006, honor the preeminent merchants, brands, and personalities of menswear retailing.
“We are particularly delighted about this year’s MR Award honorees, all recommended to us by colleagues in the menswear industry,” says Karen Alberg Grossman, MR’s Editor-in-Chief. “Not only do they each represent resilience and reinvention, but they just happen to be truly good people who lead and inspire with kindness and humility. Congrats to all!”
Previous MR Award honorees include Jack Mitchell, Mitchells, and Mario Bisio, Marios (Lifetime Achievement Awards); Gerald and Kent Gushner, Boyds; Russ Patrick, Neiman Marcus; Harry and Larry Rosen (Hall of Fame); as well as Ermenegildo Zegna, Gianluca Isaia, Durand Guion, Macy’s, and Bruce Pask, Bergdorf Goodman. Both up-and-coming and established stores have also been recognized, including Bodega, Harrod’s, United Arrows, and MartinPatrick3; as have category expanding brands Stantt, AG Jeans, Faherty, and Vineyard Vines.

“It’s been a long haul — nearly three years — since we’ve gotten together in person to celebrate the best of the menswear industry,” says Mark Dowden, President & CEO, Wainscot Media. “The MR staff and I can’t wait to see our menswear colleagues back in New York this summer for a proper party.”
The dinner, making a jubilant return after a pandemic-induced hiatus, will be held at the Edison Ballroom on Sunday, July 17th, 2022, during New York menswear market week. Profiles on each of the MR Award Honorees will appear in a printed journal for the occasion (which will be mailed to the MR subscriber list before the event) and will run on MR Mag.com.
