NEW YORK MAGAZINE AND KNICKERBOCKER COLLABORATE ON A COLLECTION CELEBRATING THE CANAL STREET STATE OF MIND

by John Russel Jones

Quintessential New York City publication New York Magazine and New York-based apparel brand Knickerbocker have gotten together for a collection that draws inspiration from the bustling streets surrounding the brand’s flagship store on Manhattan’s Canal Street. The collection blends urbane themes with Knickerbocker’s elevated take on classic American silhouettes and features hand-drawn illustrations. The collection dropped today on Knickerbocker’s web store and at its brick-and-mortar location at 357 Canal Street (on the corner of Wooster & Canal).

New York Magazine has been obsessively chronicling the ideas, people, and cultural events that shape the city and our world since 1968. Knickerbocker, founded in 2013, began as a manufacturing company on the border of Brooklyn and Queens, eventually launching as a brand centered around a deep appreciation for people and processes. Knickerbocker’s collection reflects a fusion of classic American style with layered elements of art, music, and sports, emphasizing tradition, utility, and purpose.
